On October 9, 2025, the University of Akureyri in Iceland organized an Expert Forum as part of the SILWERS (Seniors Artificial Intelligence Learning – Well Educated and Risk Secure) project, focusing on the intersection of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. The meeting brought together experts in AI technology and university staff to jointly discuss the educational challenges and opportunities associated with introducing seniors to the world of digital tools, with a particular emphasis on AI literacy and cybersecurity awareness. The goal of the forum was to ensure that the educational content developed within the project is based on both academic perspectives and the practical experience of specialists. Experts shared observations regarding new trends in AI, key ethical issues, and risk mitigation methods, while representatives of the University of Akureyri contributed knowledge in the fields of pedagogy, flexible learning formats, and adult education. Thanks to this formula, the meeting became an important step in "connecting the dots" between rapid technological development and the need to create learning that is accessible, understandable, and safe for seniors.
