A few examples:

  • Your holiday photos: if you post a picture of the sea, a scammer knows your house is empty;
  • Likes and comments: if you like a post such as “recipes for high blood pressure”, you’ll receive advertising spam about medicines;
  • Tagging friends: “@JanKowalski, what a brilliant grandson!” – your family’s details will be visible to everyone;
  • Themed groups and polls among group members: for example, with a question such as “Where do you live?” in a poll – your address is already in someone’s database.
