The “Online threats for 55+” glossary is now available on the SILWERS project website, developed based on the findings from the Expert Fora within WP2. The publication organizes key concepts related to digital threats and helps to discuss them simply, consistently, and without misunderstandings — both for educators working with seniors and for self-directed learning. The glossary is available in five language versions: English, Polish, Greek, Czech, and Icelandic. Słowniczek jest dostępny w pięciu wersjach językowych: angielskiej, polskiej, greckiej, czeskiej i islandzkiej.
Terminology regarding cyber threats and AI can often be counterintuitive, and a misunderstanding of these concepts can lead to wrong decisions (such as responding too late to a scam attempt or placing undue trust in fraudulent messages). Therefore, this glossary serves as a practical point of reference: it explains terms in an accessible way and makes it easier to recognize the most common attack patterns and manipulations encountered online. We encourage you to download the appropriate language version and use the glossary as a supporting material for training, workshops, and information activities within the senior community.
