In October, the SILWERS project partners met in Akureyri, Iceland, at Háskólinn á Akureyri (the University of Akureyri). One of the main points of the visit was working on thematic audio and video materials that will populate the upcoming educational platform for seniors – one of the project’s key results.
The SILWERS project was created to support older adults in exploring the world of artificial intelligence and building awareness in the field of cybersecurity. Our goal is to equip seniors with the knowledge and skills that will allow them to use digital technologies safely and confidently, while taking into account their specific needs and the challenges that may arise in their daily digital lives.
Within the project, we focus on AI education, developing digital competencies, and counteracting digital exclusion by strengthening awareness of online threats. The materials being prepared for the platform are designed to support learning in an accessible format and to facilitate the translation of knowledge into practical actions.
We would like to thank our Icelandic partner – Háskólinn á Akureyri – for the warm welcome and the excellent organization of the meeting and recording sessions.
