A guide to the world of artificial intelligence for seniors

You don’t have to be a programmer. You interact with AI in exactly the same way as when you write an SMS message or talk to someone at a table.

  1. Writing (classic query)

You type what you need in the text box.

  • Example: “Write me a list of ingredients for a real beef tenderloin for 4 people.”
  • Tip: Don’t be afraid to write long sentences. The more details you give, the better the answer you’ll get.
  1. Speaking (voice control)

This is the most popular feature for many seniors. You don’t have to type anything on the phone’s small keyboard.

  1. In the app on your phone, tap the microphone icon or the headphone icon.
  2. As soon as the symbol appears that the phone is “listening”, start talking.
  3. The AI will listen to you and either respond to you with text or speak to you directly with a human voice.
  • Example: “Tell me what the weather will be like in Brno today and if I should take an umbrella.”
  1. Camera (explaining what is seen)

AI can “look” through your eyes. In the app, you will find a camera icon or a plus (+) icon that allows you to attach a photo.

  1. For example, take a picture of an unknown plant in the garden, a broken appliance or a foreign-language sign on a piece of food.
  2. Write or say the question: “What is this flower?” or “What is written on this package?”
  3. The AI analyzes the photo and describes it to you in detail.
  • Example: Take a picture of an error message on a washing machine and ask: “What does this error mean and what should I do to get the washing machine working again?”
